A flat-roof extension doesn't have to mean a dark room underneath. Modern flat-roof windows and rooflights can introduce large amounts of natural daylight from above, making them particularly effective in extensions where conventional wall windows cannot provide enough light.
Perfect for Extensions
Popular for:
- Kitchen extensions
- Dining areas
- Bathrooms
- Home offices
- Single-storey extensions
- Hallways
- Flat-roof living spaces
Can be installed individually or as part of a larger glazing arrangement.
Transform Dark Internal Areas
One of their biggest advantages is the ability to deliver daylight deeper into a property. This can be particularly effective where an extension has made the original interior of the house darker. Correct installation, waterproofing and drainage around the unit are essential to producing a long-lasting result.

What the Spec Sheet Says
Flat roofs need a genuinely different window system, not just a standard roof window laid flatter, which is why this is treated as its own product category.
- The dome shape is engineered so that rainwater and debris drain away even on a roof with a true 0° pitch.
- The base unit is insulating PVC, with the dome itself made from either polycarbonate or acrylic depending on the specification chosen.
- Glazed (rather than domed) flat-roof windows are also available, using a double-glazed, low-energy inner pane for a flatter external profile.
- These units work well stacked as a run of several windows across a wide flat-roof extension, not just as single installations.
